Our Day at the Exploratorium

Yesterday, we decided to go into San Francisco and check out a museum we had been hearing about. It is called the Exploratorium and is full of hands on science activities for children young and old to play with. The museum not only entertained Emma, but Dan had a lot of fun, too. Here are some pictures from our day.

Getting ready to go...Notice the bling that Emma decided to wear today on her wrist

Playing with magnets. Dan made the "Bridge" and Emma just enjoyed playing with the washers

The museum was really near the Golden Gate Bridge and a great little park that we enjoyed some time in.

Emma kept trying to go in the water
What a fun day!

My Little Reader

We went to the library last week to choose some new books to read. I caught Emma reading in her room all by herself one morning this week.

This is one of her new favorite books called "Ten in the Bed"

Emma's first Pony Tail

Today was my first attempt at putting Emma's hair in a pony tail. Here are the results:

Hopefully I will get a little better at it and there won't be any tears next time:)

Emma's Tent

Emma got a tent for Christmas and we finally put it up yesterday. Emma had a great time playing in it. She liked to read a draw on her magnadoodle in there, too. She also likes to run into it and shout "TADA". I tried to get her to leave it in her room, but she wanted it in the living room for some reason.

Spring has Sprung!

The weather here has turned beautiful so we spent a good part of yesterday playing outside. Emma got out her sidewalk chalk and decorated our driveway. Then she decided to take a spin on her bike. While she was collecting rocks to put in the basket of her bike, she found a new friend to play with.

I love riding my bike!

What is that on my favorite rock pile?

It's a snail!
(Don't worry, no animals were harmed during this blog!)

Success Again!

This will be our last potty post, I promise. Daddy asked Emma if she would like to go potty before nap today and she very quickly succeeded again! Daddy decided to take a picture this time to share the memory.

As you can see, she was very excited about her success!

Emma is such a big girl!

Well, Emma has hit another milestone today. She and Daddy and I went out to lunch today and then we came home for Emma's nap. When I was changing her diaper before nap it was very dry. I asked her if she wanted to go sit on her potty and she said yes. Emma has sat on her potty before both with her clothes on and without, but she has never produced anything. Well today she sat for a minute and then got up. I asked her if she was done and she said no and she sat back down. I then asked her if she wanted me to get a book to read while she sat a she said yes. I went to get a book and when I got back, she had gone pee pee in the potty! Daddy and I were so excited that we did out own little potty dance. Then we rewarded her with a special chocolate treat and put her down for nap. We were so proud and excited for her! Just one small step towards a diaper free house! Sorry, no pictures of this momentous occasion ( I don't think you would want to see them any way :).
