Ian in the Bumbo

Ian tried out the bumbo seat this week and we think he likes it...

When friends give you lemons....

Some of our friends moved into a new house with a big lemon tree in the backyard. The offered us some lemons and we made some yummy lemonade

First we juiced the lemons

Then we added sugar

Stirred in the water

And enjoyed our sweet treat

Emma had a great time climbing like a monkey at the park last week.

She also had some time to give Ian a little love

Back from Vacation-The Great Wolf Lodge

During our stay in Virginia, we had a great getaway to Williamsburg's Great Wolf Lodge. This is a great resort with a huge indoor water park. Emma and Daddy had a great time playing in the water while Ian was put to sleep by the water park white noise. We had fun going down water slides and hanging out in the wave pool and lazy river.

Back from Vacation- A Week in Virginia

After our week in the Outer banks, we spent a week in Virginia visiting family and friends. My brother and his family came for the weekend, too, so my parents had a full house!

Back from Vacation-The Outer Banks

We officially initiated Ian into our traveling family by flying across the country for a 2 week vacation in North Carolina and Virginia. We spent a week in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with a group of 6 families with 6 children between us. We had both the oldest and youngest children and yes, Emma and her friend Sydney did a good job at ruling the roost. We had some rain and it was a little cold at the beginning of the week, so the men of the house decided to challenge themselves to a "Polar Bear Swim"

Preparing on the porch

Running in....

and Running out

and then into the hot tub
Emma had a really good time swimming in both the backyard pool and the community's indoor pool.

She is getting really good at "Swimming" with her life vest on
We also had some good bar-b-que

It was a "lazy man's buffet"-they brought everything to us

Emma enjoyed the meal

Ian had a good time hanging out at the house

We visited a lighthouse
We also went to the Jockey Ridge sand dunes for some family pictures
