Emma partied a little too much on the actual day, so we are finally getting to posting our Cinco de Mayo greeting! We had a fun day playing at the park and it was even more exciting when we found out that the water play area had been turned on!
Yeah, the water park is open!

After playing in the water, we took some time out for swinging

Week 2 in New Zealand
We are back from our wonderful vacation in New Zealand. We had a great time and our happy to be home and getting back into our normal routines. Here are the pictures from our second week in New Zealand; mostly in the North Island. We visited Rotorua with it sulfur lakes, mud holes, Geysers and zorbing; Waitmo Caves with their glow worms and daddy black water rafting; and Auckland where we went on a harbor cruise and a butter fly garden. Emma was amazingly well behaved throughout the trip with only a few 2 year old tantrums (mostly when she could not be her independent self). I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story!

First Week In New Zealand
Hi everyone! We're through our first week in New Zealand and are having a great time. We've been almost all the way around the South Island (Christchurch, Western, Queenstown, Milford Sound, and Dunedin). Below are select pictures from our trip thus far. Dad has to pay for internet by the minuite, so he's forcing me to keep it short. Mom and I will fill in with details when we get home
P.S. Yes, both Mom and Dad jumped off what seemed like a perfectly good bridge. Just trying to keep up with my jumping from the bed. Show offs.

A Weekend trip in Phoenix with the Readers
We had a great weekend with our friends, The Readers, in Phoenix. Emma was really excited to meet her new friend, Lincoln and we were excited to visit with old friends from Virginia.

Emma was really excited to ride the "Google Bus" to the airport. Over the weekend she got to ride on Planes, trains, automobiles, and buses!
Our first introduction to Lincoln. Emma was a little shy at first
Dan and Lincoln sporting their Google shirts
Emma and Lincoln decided to have a little book time
Are you talking to us?
The Readers took us to "The Railroad Park" and we got to ride the train!
On the train
Daddy was there, too!
Then Lincoln got to try the swings with Emma
I think he liked it!
Lincoln does some trick riding on the Carousel
Emma entertains Lincoln
Lincoln liked Emma's hair
In the afternoon, we went to a spray park where Emma had a great time cooling off
She was not sure about that first spray
Lincoln observes
Then Emma started having some fun
She found a cup and had to fill it several times
The water was cold, but Emma did not want to get out
Lincoln decided to see what the water felt like
Thank You Readers for such a fun weekend!

Easter 2008
What a great Easter! It was a full day with church, brunch at a local restaurant and then dinner at our house with friends. We ended the day with one more egg hunt for Emma and her friends.

Hunt 2008
Every year our church has various egg hunts at different community parks as an outreach. Emma met a few of her friends at a local park and did a great job finding a few treats.

And all these other kids just brought a basket; fill-er-up!
Emma was not very patient at the starting line
