Emma's first Soccer Game

The Pixies had their first soccer game this morning and they all did a great job! Even though they did not win, we knew going in that this would be a learning year. The girls seemed to have a really great time and there was some great effort out there!

First Soccer Practice

Emma had her very first soccer practice last week. Most of her school friends are on her team and she had a great time learning about the game! Here are a few pictures before we left the house.

We had to hide the fact that her shin guards are black by wearing a lot of pink! (She was worried someone would think she was a boy :)
Ian went with us to practice, too so of course he had to bring Daddy's ball.
We will be putting the minivan to use starting this week with practice carpools and Emma's first game is this Saturday!
Go Pixies!

Emma's 6th Birthday

It is hard to believe that we have a 6 year old in our house! We celebrated Emma's birthday in Virginia with family and friends and we also had a small birthday party by having tea at our local Tea shop.

Our big 6 year old ready for her party
You must be fancy to go to tea!
No little brothers allowed at tea
Waiting with Kaylie for the rest of the guest to arrive
Posing in fancy hats
Most of the girls at their own table enjoying tea
Emma stirring her tea
The girls even had their own waiter
Emma and most of her friends at the party
Celebrating with Ice Cream Sundaes
Emma and all her friends and all the moms had a wonderful tea time.

Emma's school Concert

Emma and her class have been practicing really hard for their first school concert and tonight was the night. The school multipurpose room was really crowded with proud parents and Emma was in the first row, so this was the only picture we got during the concert:

But after the concert, we got one picture with her great teacher,

and as a bonus, here is what Emma thinks she will look like when she is 100 years old

The captions says "When I am 100 years old I will go to the ice cream shop"

Lets go Ride a bike

On Sunday, Emma and Daddy decided it was time to take the training wheels off her bike.

Daddy rigged up a "Handle" on the back of her bike (made out of a golf club) and away they went.

Daddy holding on to get her started.

I sent them both outside and told them not to get too frustrated with each other. This is what I saw after 5 minutes....

It is amazing what our little girl can do when she puts her mind to it!

Superstars!

When Ian is not flying around being "Super E" he is hanging out with Emma being "Superstars" in their cool shades.

(We really need to find Ian some of his own sunglasses :) )

Happy 100 days of school! (And an American flag thrown in, too!)
