Dan had a convention in Chicago last week, so we flew in early and got to spend the weekend with the Bucks in Indianapolis. It was great to catch up with our friends from Virginia and meet the newest addition to their family, Jefferson. Emma and their daughter, Annabelle got along really well and played together all weekend long.
On Saturday, we went to a local pumpkin patch. I was really looking forward to some cool fall weather, but mother nature had other plans and it was very warm 85 degree day!
Emma finds a pumpkin
Then she shares it with Annabelle
I don't think this was exactly her plan
But she found another one just as good
The pumpkins were actually planted in with Christmas Trees
Everyone found perfect pumpkins

Emma and the pumpkins (Can you tell she had an oreo for lunch?:)
On Sunday, we went to church, and then that evening we took a nice walk to an excellent Bar-b-que restaurant
Annabelle and Emma in the double stroller
Then we had the honor of celebrating Jefferson's one month birthday with cake!
SInging Happy Birthday!
The birthday boy got a little upset when he heard there was no cake for him
After the girls went to bed, we played games. Another mutual friend from Virginia had sent Jefferson a game called "Buckaroo" so we had to try it out!

Jefferson approved of the game.
It was a great relaxing weekend with friends!
