Road Trip

We decided to test out Emma's new carseat and take a road trip down to Gilroy, California, otherwise known as the Garlic Capital of the World. There was a great family amusement park that was just Emma's size. She got to ride a lot of the rides, but one of her favorite things to do was to play in the man-made waterfalls. Here are a few pictures from our day at the park

All turned around

Ahead of my doctor's appointment this past week, I decided to bulk up. A little more banana, a few more grapes, and, now that I've figured out cabinets, a few extra treats mom and dad might not know about. The result: 20.2 pounds!
Now I'm free of that old rear facing seat! I've gone from the backseat to a backseat driver. All this new legroom and what a view!

Now I see the world coming and can keep an eye on mom and dad. It's also nice and soft, just like a Lazy-Boy, great for a quick nap. Now if I could just find the remote.

I'll be seeing you on the roads,
Emma

Can we say Accessorize?

So, one of Emma's newest favorite things to do is to try on my Jewelry. For instance, if I leave my watch on the end table, she will go and put it around her wrist and then walk around like she is queen bee. This afternoon I decided to let her have a little fun and gave her some of my other bracelets to play with. Here is what happened:

Oh boy, look at what mommy is letting me play with

This is so Exciting!

Does this Bracelet Go with my Outfit?

Well, that one looks so good, I think I will add another!

A Week at the Beach

So, Daddy took a week off from his new job at Google and we got to go back to the East coast and spend a week at the beach with lots of other friends. We went to Duck, North Carolina and rented a house with five other families. There were 5 babies and toddlers running, crawling, and rolling around the house. It was a lot of fun to see all of our friends and relax at the beach. The kids got along really well and helped each other get in and out of trouble. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the week. Enjoy!

On The Move

Well, my first attempt at a blog comes during a lot of changes in Emma's life. Emma is on the move in many ways. At 14 months, Emma got her feet under her and over the month she has become a walking champ. She is quite speedy and most of my days are spent chasing her everywhere. One of her favorite games is to run down the hall of our temporary apartment and "hide" until someone finds her She is usually getting into something or other (under sinks, in cabinets, etc) by the time you find her, too. She thinks this is very funny. Which brings us to Emma's second big move. Dan (also known as Emma's Daddy) has taken a job at Google and we are in the process of packing up and moving across the country to Northern California. We are enjoying ourselves and our new surroundings. We are in an apartment right now and will moving into a house over the next few weeks. We are making new friends and we are enjoying exploring new places. Emma loves the park down the street that has a playground just her size. Hopefully, this blog will help us keep in touch with all our friends and family around the country. I will post about Emma's adventures with lots of pictures and maybe even some video. So, here are a few pictures of Emma "On the Move".
