A quick trip Squaw Valley

Dan had a team building trip to Lake Tahoe for a little skiing so Emma and I went along for a little fun in the Snow. Emma really enjoyed playing in the snow. We went sledding, but she enjoyed just touching and exploring the snow even more than sledding.

Emma touches the snow for the first time

I think she likes it!

Daddy decided to take Emma up a small hill to try skiing

Emma is not sure about this

Ski lesson over! Maybe we will try again next year!

Emma and I also took the cable car up to the top of the mountain to check out the view

After the Cable Car ride, Emma and I decided to amuse ourselves with some bubbles

Maybe I can blow better with my eyes closed
By the way, it was actually very warm even with all the snow. It was probably about 60 degrees at the bottom of the mountain, hence the no coat in the snow! We are back home now getting back to normal once again.

My Kitchen Helper

Emma loves to help me cook in the kitchen. She loves to mix, stir and pour with great enthusiasm. Last week I was taking something out of the oven and Emma took it upon herself to get the oven mitts out. What a good little helper I have!

Emma's 2nd Birthday Party

Even though Emma's birthday is not until Friday, we celebrated with friends yesterday afternoon. We had about 20 people over for the party. It was a great time of food and fun! Emma loved having all of her friends over and we are so thankful for all the new families we have gotten to know this year!
Adam was nice enough to bring over his bounce house!

Lots of food to share

Happy Valentines Day

Sending our love to all our friends and family across the country! Dan, Sara and Emma :)

Emma loves Elmo

On Wednesday, Emma helped get ready for her birthday party (otherwise known as Elmopalooza) by coloring some Elmo pictures to put on treat bags. She had a great time with the paint and had even more fun when we got the glitter glue out!

Beautiful weather!

We have been enjoying beautiful weather since last weekend! On Saturday, Emma went for a ride on her bike. She has not figured out the pedals yet, but she is really good at scooting and going down hills!

We are Home!

Last week, we had a great time in Virginia visiting friends. We stayed with our friends, the Scotts, and Emma got a lot of playtime with Sydney. The girls both enjoyed watching Elmo and Sesame Street. We have been in Elmo detox this week!

"Where did Elmo Go?" asks Emma

We also had a playgroup with some of our church friends. In honor of Emma's upcoming birthday, we made cupcakes!

Daddy even made a guest appearance

We had a great week and miss all our Virginia friends! We have been back a week now and here is one picture from this week! Emma's bed is becoming more and more crowded with new friends! She used to sleep with her two baby dolls. In Florida, Nana and G-pa bought her Nemo, so he got added into the mix. This week, Emma has added Cookie Monster and Winnie the Pooh. Pretty soon, there will be no room for Emma is the bed!

Have a great weekend!
