Our Southwest Adventure -Phoenix

After visiting the Grand Canyon, we were on the road again. We headed south on our way to Phoenix to visit our friends, The Readers. On the way, we stopped in Sedona to explore a bit.

We arrived in Phoenix in time to enjoy dinner with friends, then off to bed to rest up for more fun.
In the morning, we headed off to the train park.

All the kids had fun playing in the different playgrounds
We then had a yummy lunch at Chick-fil-a. Oh how we miss you, Chick-fil-a! Then after naps, we got some good Mexican food. In the morning, the Readers introduced us to their amazing children's museum.

Fun was had by all.
At the end of the day, we flew back home with lots of fun memories of our adventure!

Our Southwest Adventure -The Grand Canyon

It was about a 5 hour drive from the Hoover Dam to The Grand Canyon, so we made it just in time to catch sunset over the canyon.

It was really cold and windy, So Dan stayed out to watch the sunset and we watched from the warmth of the car

After warming up a bit, we headed off to our next destination... Phoenix to visit some Former Virginia friends

Our Southwest Adventure -Las Vegas

With last week being a school holiday, we embarked on a quick trip into the southwest with our friends, The Hills. We started our adventure by flying into Las Vegas. We landed around 2:30 and spent the rest of the day exploring.

And then had dinner in the Venetian

When we got out of dinner, we were just in time for the Volcano show at the Mirage.
Then it was off to bed so we could get up early for more exploring. In the morning, Dan got our rental car and we headed off to the Hoover Dam.

We spent the morning touring the dam, and then jumped in our cars headed for our next destination.... The Grand Canyon.
