Ian and the Exersaucer

When we returned from vacation, Ian was very excited to have his toys back. He loves his play mat and bouncy fish seat, so we decided he was big enough to try out another toy...the exersaucer

Umm... Mommy, I am trying to play here

Ian plays while Emma hams it up

I think I can

Got it!

What does this do?

If I stick my tongue out, maybe the lion will roar at me!

Gilroy Garlic Festival

After living in California for 3 summers, we finally made it to the world renown Gilroy Garlic Festival. This is an annual festival that brings many a Food Network Star to the small town.
After posing with the flaming garlic

We partook in some Garlic specialties. Dan had a Garlic Sausage Sandwich

and then decided to share his lovely breath with Emma

No Daddy!

Luckily, Target was there with their free samples.....

Mouthwash!

Now Dan is minty fresh!

The end of our trip-Seattle

We ended our trip with a quick day in Seattle.

The last time we were Seattle, Emma was 6 months old. We visited one of our favorite breakfast spots- Top Pot Doughnuts.
At six months, we just teased Emma with doughnuts

This time, Emma got to enjoy...

But Ian was not as lucky

We also revisited the Pike Street Market and took a picture with the "Piggy Bank"

We then flew back home after a great vacation

Oh Canada!-Victoria and the Wedding

From Vancouver, we took the ferry to Victoria. We had some time for sightseeing

But the main event was Scott and Tricia's wedding. Emma and Dan were both in the wedding. Emma was the flower girl and she took her role very seriously...

Practicing

Very good at throwing flowers
She was really excited about her "princess dress"

Emma did a great job walking down the aisle... Then it was time for pictures

It was a wonderful wedding and we are really excited to have Tricia as part of our family

Oh Canada!-Whistler and Vancouver

Moving west, we headed off to Whistler and Vancouver...site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. It was interesting seeing the preparations for the games. We had a great time in Whistler doing some more adventurous things.
Daddy and Emma went on a luge ride

Here they come!

We went on a mountain to mountain gondola and the adults in the group did a zip line tour

All geared up

Going down the first line

Dan shows off

In Vancouver, we headed to Capilano Suspension bridge where Emma became a rain forest explorer
